We congratulate all those pupils who took external examinations this summmer on their results. There were some exceptional results at A level and the Welsh Baccalaureate was a great success. We send our best wishes to all those pupils now going on to university. As we start a new academic year we give a warm welcome to our new Year 7 pupils and also to other new pupils. We also welcome back existing pupils and extend a warm welcome to two new members of the teaching staff. Mr John-Paul Davies joins us as Head of Music and Miss Sammy Morgan joins us this year to assist with girls' games, Welsh and History. Results for A / AS Level examinations will be available from 9.30 am at the school on Thursday 19th August 2010. For GCSE candidates electronic results will be available at the school from 9.30am on Tuesday 24th August 2010. Hard copies will be available at the school from 9.30am on Thursday 26th August 2010. Candidates who wish to have their results posted on to them should leave a stamped addressed envelope with the office. |

Eisteddfod Yr Urdd Ennillodd Jack Pulman-Slater (Bl.12) ‘Medal y Dysgwyr y Flwyddyn’ yn Eisteddfod yr Urdd Ceredigion 2010. Daeth â chlod i’r ysgol ac rydym yn ymfalchio yn ei lwyddiant. We congratulate Jack Pulman-Slater (Yr. 12) on winning the ‘Learner’s Medal’ at the Urdd National Eisteddfod. A great achievement and well done to the Welsh Department for their work. Pupils from the Inclusion Centre also enjoyed success in the Arts and Crafts off-stage competitions and their work was on display in the pavilion at the Eisteddfod. UK Young Consumer Competition A sixth-form team recently represented Wales in the UK Young Consumer Final in Edinburgh. Congratulations to Katie, Megan, Jack and Finn who came a close second to Chatham Grammar School for Boys from Kent the UK Final and won silver medals.. |

On Wednesday 30th June at 7p.m. the Music Department is putting on a concert 'The Sound of Musicals' in the school hall. Entry is free but donations will be taken for the programme. All money raised will go to towards buying more equipment for the Music Department. Everyone is most welcome. |

Internal examinations for Years 7,8,9 and 10 will take place in the week commencing 21st May 2010. Pupils have been issued with examination timetables. Full reports wil be issued in the last half-term of the school year. |
